Jonquils Series New_Jonquil_Series.htmlNew_Jonquil_Series.html

After tackling them several times in my Dailies project last year, I’ve homed in on the jonquils, or narcissi, in my garden in a major way this year, completing a study or so almost daily since they began to bloom.  I’ve done these at different times of day, changing angles and emphasis, getting to know the subject well and I’ve started two large studio works.

In between the battering storms this winter, I have completed a few location paintings in and around Mangrove Bay, using a few of them for studio reference.

Water Series New_Water_Series.htmlNew_Water_Series.html

Chris Marson & I have been setting aside a couple of days a week to paint in the Dockyard for an exhibition later in the year.

When energy levels allow, I have been painting small snippets of home life in the evening, inspired by one of my Dailies of Jo last year.  Things that are important to me - my house, the dogs, and Jo.

Most of my work can be seen in my studio in the Arts Centre at Dockyard.  We have four new studio artists moving in this month - my buddy Chris Marson, Summer Wood, Alexandra Mosher and Amanda Temple.  It is very exciting and there is a lot going on at the Arts Centre, so please come on down and visit us.
